Creativity: Learning Outcome 1, Journaling

January 2, 2021

I have been having a hard time recently. There's been a lot going on, with relationships and corona, and it's been hard to find the balance between staying home and being safe and not sacrificing the special moments in life. Between all of it, I've been feeling a little stressed out. I was thinking of things I could do to ease the stress of life, and I brought out the old journals I used to use. I was reading through everything I used to write, and remembered the feeling of getting all my thoughts down on a page and how good that felt. So, as part of my New Year's Resolution, I've decided to start journaling again consistently.

I find that it's been a really nice creative outlet to get my thoughts down, and I've definitely been feeling less stressed out about life. I find that I'm much more at ease, and I look forward to my journaling sessions. I always feel a lot better after writing, even if I'm just writing about my day. I've also been drawing in my journal. Even though I've never considered myself super artistic, I find my doodles and drawing to be fun and relaxing.
